5 Important Things Before Renting a Factory

Before deciding to rent a factory, several factors should be considered.  Here are 5 useful tips.

  1. Location: The rental factory should be situated in a location where it has easy access to main transports and logistics connections. These include important inter-provincial highways, airports and if required, seaports.  Being near these important infrastructures can help you deliver products to your target market quickly and save on time and cost.  The location of the rental factory should also have all the utilities available for examples, electricity, water, and the internet.
  2. Rental terms and conditions:  Before engaging in a rental contract, which required a somewhat long term commitment of at least 2-3 years, the clients should appraise its needs for the next 3-5 years and have a good understanding of the terms and condition required to terminate or renew the rental agreement.  Factors such as how many months in advance do you need to inform your landlord of the need to terminate or renew the rental contract, whether the new rental price is within your acceptable range, who pay for renovations?  Is it possible to upsize your operation by obtaining more rental spaces? These are all important factors to consider.
  3. Ample parking spaces:  The rental factory should have ample parking spaces for your office workers and staffs.  Easy access to public transport can also assist your staffs to get to and from works.
  4. Quality amenities:  The rental factory should have facilities and services that ensure certain safety and good amenities such as 24-hour security service, CCTVs, separate male and female bathrooms, common central canteen, a vast green environment and central areas for examples.
  5. Ideal warehouse:  The ideal warehouse or rental factory should provide the flexibility that meets the clients’ business demands.  Are there options available if the clients need to expand?  Can the clients increase utilities consumptions such as the increase use of electricity, water, internet usages, for examples?
